Subject: CREW CALL <Production Design Team> CINEMALAYA FULL-LENGTH FILM FINALIST ENTRY
Hi there friends, colleagues and media contacts!
I'm Peds (Rik) Franco, a media practitioner. I'm also currently forming a production design team for a full-length film entry for Cinemalaya.
I would like to ask if you could pass this message onto your network / students who are involved in Indie-film production.
It was on a short notice too when I was contacted to take over the Production Design task of the project and at this point (only less than two weeks before the beginning of the principal photography), it is challenging for me to book people from my own network. And I urgently need to form my PD team asap.
Friends, I will be needing artists who don't really have to have a super impressive resume. Good experience, discipline, commitment and much much enthusiasm is good enough.
I think this project is best suited for those who are just starting to build themselves a career in Production Design and need good projects.
Mass Communication / Fine arts / Multi-media arts/design students are also welcome as long as there's not going to be a conflict on their schedules.
I'll be needing 2 GUYS to help me out in doing SET DESIGN <malakas at mabilis, maparaan>;
one (1) OC and detail-oriented WARDROBE MASTER...
...and MOST IMPORTANTLY, a very creative-innovative and patient ART DIRECTOR na fairly-experienced na. And I need one ASAP na talaga.
The production has budget for Talent Fees but only minimal, as we all know, because it also has to work around a limited grant. Right now, we're getting our operational expenses from counter-funds.
Ang advantage talaga nito, and most importantly for those interested, is the film project itself, again, an investment for those who want to pursue a career in Production design/ Art Directing.
The SHOOT WILL BE ON THE FIRST and SECOND WEEKS of MARCH <March 1 to 15>. Pitong araw (7) lang naman ang shoot days pero of course, may rest days in between, so about half a month ang kakainin ng principal photography phase.
The whole film will be done in BATANGAS CITY and the next town, SAN PASCUAL.
Volunteers are also very much welcome!
