Buong karangalang ipinahayag ng Department of Education (Dep-Ed) sa isang Circular Memorandum ang paglulunsad ng Larong Pinoy Sports Clinic ng Magna Kultura sa mga Mababang Paaralan sa National Capital Region.  Nagsanib puwersa ang Dep-Ed at Magna Kultura Foundation upang palakasin ang diwa ng mga laro sa mga paaralan at pamayanan sa Pilipinas.


Nilikha ng Magna Kultura ang mga pagsasanay at patakaran ng mga palaro, na inaprubahan ng DepEd upang ipinamamahagi ito sa buong bansa. 

Ang layunin ng Magna Kultura at Dep-Ed ay gawing matatag ang mga larong katutubo, hanggang sa mailunsad ang Pambansang Palarong Pinoy sa Pilipinas. Sa ganitong paraan ay di lamang mananatiling buhay ang mga Larong Pinoy, kungdi maipagmamalaki sa buong mundo na ang mga Pilipino ay may mga palaro na kasing husay ng mga laro sa pandaigdig na paligsahan.

Remember the movie "Field of Dreams" with famous whispering voice in the wind that said, "If You Build It, They Will Come!."  I am not a baseball ball fanatic and I don't know much about  it's players, but I like the motivational drift that the movie conveys: about building a dream. Aiming for something worthwhile that you have been deeply yearning for, that something you always wanted to achieve.  It may well be that it is also what God has purposed you to achieve in your lifetime.  If you keep at it, with the right purpose, it will happen.

The wheels have finally begun to turn. After almost 6 years, Makiling is finally recording a new album. The new album, the band’s 3rd after 2000’s MEDYO MODERN and 2001’s PATINTERO SA ILALIM NG BUWAN, will be a double album.

We’ve been writing new music regularly since the last album and now it’s all piled up into a big body of works. Thus we decided to release the 3rd as a double album. We plan to put 24 tracks of all new works and a couple of remixes of old pieces.

We are currently recording at Louie Talan’s Wombworks studios at Marikina. The album will be launched in a series of events at December of this year
